Good grief! I've seen a bit of your other work, but your ability to create texture with pixels really shines through here. You can really get a feel (hah) for how the foods would feel if you ran your finger over them, especially the ridges of the croissant, the scales on the taiyaki, and the smooth skin of the turtle bread.
Not only are they unified in their color scheme, they're of very similar size and orientation. Yes, they're a set, so that's par for the course, but it's a set executed well.
I like the frames, too. They look like they could be items in one of those sort of tongue-in-cheek JRPGs like Dragon Quest or something.
And of course, they look quite delicious. Marvelous~
